Summer enrichment programs are an ideal mechanism not only for educational growth during the months away from school, but as a means to discover interests in particular academic programs or to ensure fit at a certain college or university campus.
For students who have not yet spent much time away from home and their parent(s), these summer academic camps are also excellent opportunities to begin the path toward independence in a safe and secure environment.
The University of Missouri Columbia is offering two week-long summer sessions for high school students who have expressed an interest in the field of engineering.
Sunday, July 10 – Friday, July 15
Sunday, July 17 – Friday, July 22
- registration on both Sundays is from 2pm to 5pm and campus tours will be available
- camps conclude with a competition and ceremony ending at 12noon on each Friday
To be eligible for the MU Summer Engineering Program, students must:
- be entering grades 10, 11, or 12 during the 2011-2012 academic year
- have taken at least one lab science course and two math courses

- submit an official high school transcript
The fee to take part in the MU Summer Engineering Program for High School Students is $425 per student. Space is limited and reservations are taken on a first come, first served basis.
